I know there are Christmas specials everywhere, but do you know of what decent helmets there are in my budget ?

I'd buy the $79 one but that's just me. Make sure you buy it from Australia with the sticker, could cost you a hell of a lot later on if a crash happens.

Thanks I had a look at my local specialized dealer, and really liked the 211 gram models, so light ! but very expensive - over $200.00.

Any other lighter helmets but not so dear in price ?

I spoke to one of their salesman, and seems like the $79.00 are the real deal!
Has anyone tried these helmets below, any recommendations on them.

I was browsing the interwebs last night for a rack + basket for my partners bike. Came across pushys.com.au, who had a great deal on a rack+basket.

So got that.

But I noticed that they had HEAPS of cheap stuff on there too, lots of great deals.

(I have nothing to do with pushys by the way.)

Oh I dunno. First ride with a Chakra Plus today, felt good on me head with excellent ventilation.

I am currently reviewing a Kali Chakra now for BNA (MTB) - value for money is incredible and they are selling really well.
John Hawkins reviewed the Kali Amara Helmet with Camera Mount for BNA and it performed really well.

The only specific reference to weight I could find was 336g for the Chakra plus (in the mtnbikeriders.com review on the Velogear site)... with a budget of $40 max I don't think you'll do much better. Happy to be proven wrong though

Second ride confirmed the observations on the Chakra Plus, this is a very comfy lid on my scone. Of course, YMMV.

Had one for eight months. Brilliant bit of gear. At that price you will be battling to find anything better.

Back up to over $1000. Plus these are now an old more, hence the price. I wouldn't be buying any wheels that were not 11 speed compatible these days.
