I saw that light on pushys as well and it is also heavily discounted at around the same price. I tried searching for some info on it online but there is nothing. Seems like a good deal, but since I need a light for commuting, I needed something reliable and with a long run time. With the lack of information about the light I couldn't confirm either of these so didn't end up buying it. I am also low on money but if I wasn't I would definately buy the light just to try it out.

Beware that battery pack (as shown in the image) if you ever go riding in the wet. I got that style with my DX version and as soon as they get wet, the cardboard end caps soak up the water and 'rot' the electronic components underneath. Look for a version with the rubber boot cover (I had to buy one when the other failed) and even then, seal all the joints with silcone sealant.

The Tioga 480 looks like it's worth a punt at that price.

Thanks Sven and others. I agree that $35 is pretty low-risk, but given I'm riding really, really dark country roads (Traralgon South; 170kms south-east of Melbourne) in the dead of winter, I'm inclined to take Philipthelam's approach, and go with something I can find a bit more info on. At this stage - for anyone who's interested! - top of my list is Niterider's Lumina 650 (see http://www.wiggle.co.uk/niterider-lumin ... ess-light/ ).

Specialized hardrock sport disc$450 - used (4 days camp or something) RRP -$750 new

http://www.bikenow.com.au/2013/03/speci ... under-500/

Not a bad deal if you're in the market for an entry level XC or whatever. About 30 left when I picked mine up, various sizes.

*Not be confused with the hardrock sport disc (no sport) RRP $600 new.

Clearance special on Freelance fixies - $300, down from $800.

I know nothing about the brand or regular pricing. Just spotted it on a voucher email.

Oh my. That is pure gold! So much better than the usual one with the reflector on the end!!!
I hope they aren't metal claws on the end as they won't get past Customs into Australia. :P

Stick on on each chainstay for the modern Roman Chariot experience. That'll sort out those pedestrians who block the PSP!

:P Got to GET them first through Customs to replace with plastic. Still, even with plastic claws it would look great. Just need to get it in hot pink.

Gidday Lloyd,
always an idea to leave a link if you have one.

I'm not familiar with Pushies, but a quick search suggests they have Thomson 27.2 seatposts for $65
