Specialized involved in an amnesty trade in deal. Take any old helmet/shoes/tyres, and get a big discount on some stock, some excellent deals:

Thanks for the heads up. Will be taking in my old Spec s-works helmet tomorrow to see what they give me a new prevail for.

The S-Works Prevail is $150 regardless of what helmet you bring in. ie. you'd be much better off buying a brand new Kmart cheapie helmet, than handing them over an S-Works helmet. Unless you are happier for your S-Works helmet to find it's way to someone in Namibia of course

Interesting. The bottom of the webpage says ".....Specialized item at a reduced price, as indicated on the price list supplied to Specialized Dealers". Guess I was assuming their price list will say a $20 k-mart helmet will get you $20 off the price, a top of the line Bell/Giro might get you $100 off the price etc. Happy to be proven wrong though. In which case I'm going take my missus $50 Bell job out as well ;). Will report back tomorrow with how I fair :)

^^I got a new helmet on this deal last year, took in an old Bell that I'd had for 8 years. I pranged and broke that one 2 weeks ago and so I'm heading back and getting another new one on the same deal. I think.
Here's my blog - A bit of fun :)

The Chatswood store had no stock yet, but it was clear I could bring in my sweaty beginners helmet I'm currently using. I was convinced I would do this, but after a couple more rides, I can find a single fault with my $30 beginners helmet.

What happened to my upgraditis

Just checked out my local Spec dealer. As expected limited manufac dates & pretty much only 1 colour in the prevail and s3 (chrome/blue ). Nothing else available and very limited sizes left.

for anyone on the Sunshine Coast, Gold Cross cycles at Maroochydore is moving to Kawana, they have everything in the shop at 50% off, shoes, clothes, equipment, parts, lights and even garmins. I was like a kid a xmas time, stocked up on a few wants, not sure how long it's on for but if you are in the area well worth a look. They are on Wises Rd next to the old WOW store.

Guys, just a tip, do not sell your free knog if you do not want the colour, you can try vinyl to cover the gold, silver or pink housing colour. These are nice lights:

Here is what I did to one of my knog:

I guess that's the great thing about living in a regional area! They have an S3 in my size and that matches the bike's colour too! I've put my name on it :)

Anyone have any working CRC codes? I'm trying to find an excuse to buy some stuff that I probably don't need...

Is the Chatswood store part of the Specialized deal? They weren't on the list when I last checked...

I was in the store last week, and the salesman said it was a misunderstanding by Specialized, but they are definitely part of the deal now. Only, because of the misunderstanding, they are a couple of weeks late on stock, which should be there by now I guess.
