Questions about purchasing bicycles and parts

Busted a WH-500 rear wheel so did research into current wheelset deals posting a summary of my and others' findings at ozbargain. Standouts from that list posted below as might benefit others:
$415-shipped Shimano WH-RS80-C24-CL 1521gram 24mm 16H/20H (after applying $10-off 'Newby34' coupon). Carbon-alloy composite.
$275-shipped Campagnolo Scirocco 35 1725gram 35mm 18H/21H (after applying 'paypal20' coupon). Shimano hub option.
$235-shipped Vuelta Corsa Superlite 1499gram 27mm 20H/24H (after applying $10-off 'Newby34' coupon). Similar specs to pricier Pro-lite Braccianos. SOLD-OUT!! They might get some return stock so worth rechecking.
$199 Easton EA50 1735grams 30mm 20H/24H. Decent deal if can do local MELB pickup.
$129-shipped Shimano WH-R501 1884grams 24mm 20H/24H. Good set of budget rims.
$40+shipping Alex Quando DA16 ~2100grams 21mm 32H/32H. Thief deterring boat-anchor rims good to build massive leg quads.
EDIT: Changed $40 rims from ebay link to REID cycles link with clearer shipping/local pickup options.

Try these: http://www.reidcycles.com.au/parts-acce ... heels.html
$40 + $15 postage. 10 speed. If you're in the same city as a Reid store you can pick up for free. Or if you're in Canberra I can give you the rear wheel for nothing.
PBK has 6800 Groupset for $840.99 which then comes down to $756.89 with the code 'ABN10'.
Trying very hard not to buy one.
Also 15% off clincher tyres when you buy 4. Brings the Conti GPs down to just over $30 each (but the ABN10 code doesn't work for this offer).
hate me now:

Yeh I know. That extra cost is the one, very tenuous thing, which is holding me back (plus the wait; spoke to Deon this morning and he said they're about 4 weeks away). If someone wanted to buy my Bracc's though so I could get a new 11sp compat set...
LOL! dominicj, i am in the same boat as you running 10 speed braccianos as well. Merlin are doing the ultegra group set with their 11 speed wheels for just over $1200.

Oh....and I couldn't wait through the day. I just ordered the 6800 groupset! after a lot of internal debate, I am convinced that the only reason I bought it is so it says "Ultegra" on the brifters.
Hmmm...are you talking the GP4000S? They are listed at $44.19, take 15% off equals $37.56 which is still a good price, I tried to buy some but keep coming up with error message
"error 500 We're sorry we are currently experiencing a problem. This will be resolved shortly."
BT999 work stand only $79.99 at Torpedo7.

Got $10 off using the voucher code 472HTG8.
They were definitely that price because I got some! I'm guessing they realised that they were double discounting and changed it because they were already showing them as being 60% off or something like that and $30 is a crazy price.
ProBikeKit have a 10% storewide discount offer for the first 50 customers (until 31. Aug).
Click through to PBK from BNA and use this discount code: FIRST50AU

Some cheap stuff here - mostly scott branded stuff. No idea about delivery time and reliability but I gave it a go.

For those of us in Melbourne, Cecil Walker are having a clearout sale - plenty of gear at reduced prices. Topeak 20% off is what stayied in my mind (mostly because of what I'm after, but hey!)
