It worked last week!!
Questions about purchasing bicycles and parts
Yes, I mentioned it 5 posts above. It's been extended to Monday though which is good news:
BNA review of the Chakra+HERE.
I commute in one, very nice but the venting has been a problem in the cold weather. Needed a beanie lots this winter past. Gonna be sweet in summer.

Mine is very comfortable. The visor is really effective. The straps are the weak spot.
Just came to my attention that pushies is selling a range of nicely priced mirrors.
I got a few mirrcycle mtb ones for $18 ea. Only way you get it cheaper (feel free to invalidate my web searching skills ) is if you buy an overseas plane ticket.

Daiso, the Japanese $2.80 shop that has been opening up all over the place (at least in Melbourne), do sell these
They are actually pretty good, the photo is the spare that I bought as backup. The mirror is about 10cm in diameter, and currently I mount it on the inside of the shifter/brake lever (flat bar), and the edge of the mirror extends slightly past the bar end. Obviously my arm does block it to an extent, but a tilt of the head or shift of the arm does clear it due to the size of the mirror. Its very stable with little vibration. The main down side is that you need to get yourself a rubber spacer/strip, like the ones provide with lamps, or else you will damage the paint on the handle bar.
Overall, its a good enough mirror for $2.80, just don't think about the aerodynamics of it.
Also, its a glass mirror, so the durability might not be that good. Thats why I bought a spare. But so far after a week or so, and probably 100kms, it doing alright.
Just used this code on a pair of Ortlieb panniers.
Just tried to buy a Garmin Edge 810 using this code. I had an account, but had never bought from them before. I got all the way to the payment, & then was told that my account wouldn't let me use Mastercard?? Weird, never had that problem before. I fired them off an email, but the offer finishes at midnight. Oh well, not meant to be i guess.
Evans is having a SKY25 25% discount code on their Rapha Team Sky range. Order need to include at least one replica jersey though. This will result in the replica jersey costing about $80 compare to $130 on Rapha website. Good range of other items such as socks, tees an baselayers.
Just got an email from Ken (AT) Cycling Express. There was a problem at their end. They've sorted it out & extended the 10% discount until the end of today. I've just retried my purchase & it works just fine (as does the code).
(I was also given another code for -10% that will last the whole week, but i'm not entirely sure if it was for just me or everyone...?)
Ground Effect are ceasing use of their Intercool fabric, so I picked up a Rock Lobster for $36 delivered yesterday on clearance. Still a few Manta's available now. I'm not sure if the Hyperactive fabric tops will wear as well as the Intercool when used with a backpack, but could suit some:

torpedo7 is running $10 off when you spend over $50. Seeing postage is $9, you're pretty much getting free shipping.
*Code valid from 23/8/13 to 23/10/13. Limited to 1 use per customer. Minimum order value $50.00 required.
If you've got a $10 head, get a $10 helmet
They also have pretty good deals on Assos clothing right now, see http://www.torpedo7.com.au/products/44B ... 5-bibshort for example
I have both and the Assos bib chammy in my 85kg opinion a lot more comfortable than the Castelli Free's. I do prefer the Free's fit both are large, but the Castelli is more of a snug fit than the Assos. I am considering grabbing a medium in the Assos bib as the large fits, just it's not tight.
I don't need a pair of the bib-short but I need to try Assos at some point. I went to see other website prices to see if they are worth a punt at the T7 price. Then at Wiggle I noticed the price match option! I've requested a Price match to see if I can get a further 10% off the torpedo7 price! If they have your size at T7 ping wiggle a price match email and see what happens.
Thats annoying, bought one a month ago for just over twice that.
