Fuji Absolute 2.0

Hey guys,

Been looking at getting a flat bar road, and seen the Fuji range at Goldcross. Relatively cheap as well for the 09 model (rekon I can get it for under $800, close to 700ish)
Going to use it for weekend rides (incl. bike paths) and occasional rides to work (probably 10km one way)

Here's the specs.

Weight- lb./kg. 11.67kg / 25.75lbs - SO; 12.04kg / 26.55lbs - ST

Anyone rode one or have any opinons on this.
I've been comparing this to the Giant CRX 2 and Avanti Blade 2.0. I LOVE THE 2.0 but its way more expensive than the other bikes. Spec wise its only a little better. I think for the price, this bike seems best.

Not hugely familiar with the Fuji range (yet) but they are usually pretty good value.

I'd suggest riding them all, and then assuming all are roughly equal go for the one you feel most comfortable on.

When you say you love the 2.0 I assume you mean the blade, not the absolute??

Also, goldcorss have 20% off everything until the 28th so good weekend to make up your mind!

Hi,

Yah, love the blade!! I've test rode the avanti and giant, but goldcross has a pathetic policy which doesn't allow you to test ride the thing. (Health and safety issue).

Thanks for the heads up about the 20% off at Goldcross, but I heard some inside news about a bigger discount for 09 stock in a few weeks. (don't know how reliable it is though)

Also, just found out about a bike company called HASA. They are selling a flat bar roadie with some decent specs (ie. HASA Racing 7005-Alloy, Shimano KSLR440&441 Shifters, Shimano Derailleurs, Truvativ Chain Wheel, 105 derailer, Weight: 9.2kg) for $800!!! But I don't think they tune assemble. etc for you.

Anyone know about these HASA guys, would I be able to get a LBS to tune it all up for me?

LOL

I'm thinking you got looked after by a right numptie at Goldcross.

I've test ridden a Merida, Felt and a Fuji from them, no mention of OH&S issues or any such baloney.

If you like the look of the Fuji, find another store and take it for a ride... That said, the other two your looking at are goodens as well so I doubt it's going to be any great loss if you don't try the Fuji...

I can assure you that goldcross has a policy which allows you to test ride. Will pm you re: this.

one thing about goldcross is that they give you 4 or 5 free service for a year and you can get vouchers for free tubes, pump, 20% off etc.
