CELL Bikes - Any good?

Postby PeteH » Mon Sep 17, 2007 5:43 pm

I'm currently looking at buying my first road bike (have been riding MTB for some time).

After looking around for something reasonably priced with minimum 105 componentry, I came across CELL Bikes.

For what you get for circa $2,000, something doesnt seem right.

Would love to hear peoples thoughts on this!

I'm cooking dinner Pete so can't give a better answer. But do a search on Cell bikes. A number of members have them and you'll find they generally get good reports.

I had a good bike ... so I fixed it

I have a Cell Team (though the frame on the 2007 model is rather different from the current 2008 frame) and I can attest that it is a decent bike. It has a full Shimano 105 groupset. The frame is average but I can find no faults. Mediocre wheels, seatpost, seat.

If you live around Sydney, you can go for a test ride and see for yourself and Cell offers a year free servicing.

Cell bikes might not be as flash as better known brand names and they can certainly do with better paint designs, but they do offer pretty good value.
