I'm pretty sure roos fart less with all that hopping about. Come to think of it, I've never heard a roo fart. And their poos are pretty small, tight and compact.
I think cow's were more popular as a source of meat because they are easier to catch.

CommuRider wrote:A bit off topic but what I would like to see Australian online bike sellers sell is AUSTRALIAN MADE PRODUCTS. Seriously, I would love to BUY AUSTRALIAN MADE THERMAL CYCLING WEAR, AUSTRALIAN LEATHER PANNIERS, AUSTRALIAN WOOL, MADE IN OZ FOR THE LOVE OF KANGAROOS GLOVES, etc etc. Nothing beats Australian leather because unlike the Italians, when it comes to leather, Australian manufacturers don't skimp!!!! I WOULDN'T MIND PURCHASING FOR A PREMIUM FOR A BIT OF AUSSIE MADE! I WILL BUY BECAUSE OF SUPERIOR QUALITY MATERIALS. WE HAVE ONE OF THE HIGHEST PER INCOME CAPITA POPULATION ON THE PLANET DAMMIT!!!! Thank you. End of rant
Not specifically cycling but I've bought some Merino Skins that I just wear over my knicks for winter riding. My wife got a couple of pairs as well and wore them all the time last winter. I thought they where quite a competitive price and they're still as good as new going into their second winter now. Back on topic, looking forward to checking Cycling Express out when they go live. Not in a rush though since I won't have any cash to spend until my tax return comes back next month.

for those that have been wondering. Cycling Express are obtaining their stock via the Australian distributors. (at least, they are for our brands) Elvis.

Looks good - prices on parts seem pretty good. Just waiting for more clothing as that's what i'm in need of at the moment.

Cycling Express was only able to get about half of their products up so far so things like Knicks and bibs will dramatically increase in the coming days/weeks.

Looks pretty good to me . From the few components I've looked at the pricing is closish to the UK stores. If they price match then even better, if not still not much extra to pay for a local product. Helmets could be the big winner if they are comparatively priced and come with the AUS standard sticker. Anyone jumping on the Ultegra Di2 bike pre-order. Tempted to and move it to my Giant then flog off the spares

Thanks guys.
Should have more products, and more and more variants of products up soon.
If you're after a certain product PM me and we'll try our best to get it in for you or let you know if we are going to add it to the site soon.

Good looking site and prices are good to.
Just needs a bit of work on the site, one issue I noticed was lack of sizing on the Helmets that are for sale.
I had a look at a few and there is no mention of available sizes, added one to basket, still no sign of sizing.
Besides that better pics of the bikes on offer might be nice to.
Otherwise looking good.
Cheers

Thanks for all the pick ups guys, very helpful.
For the Giro helmet you can just check out and specify in the checkout which colour and size you want as we have all of them.

Are wiggle & CRC the only sites you will match? What about bike24.net?

Yeah Wiggle and CRC at the moment. We've tried to get the prices at that level already but the exchange rate those sites are giving constantly fluctuates. With a few thousand products and variations it's a big job to find and maintain the relevant price. The idea is that the price will be similar anyway so hopefully you won't need to price match but we can't help that that is going to change on a daily basis so we'll keep trying to keep it updated. Thanks for all the props guys (and the constructive criticism), means a lot to all the Cycling Express boys!

Nice and responsive. Good layout. But! No Campagnolo parts... Yet. And then when I tried to compare prices with PBK, I note that PBK is now defaulting to an au specific site. Ummm...

Agree with others: design looks good, need more products.
Specifically for us internal hub fans : no alfines, (I was hoping for the alfine-11), no bikes aside from 3 speed internal, no Brooks saddles, titanium range needs expanding, merino?
Plus side, the Ortlieb fans will like this one. I like the Kona ute.
