Yeah, I'd go Force for the same reason I'd go X9 over X0 or Ultegra over DuraAce, lack of a fully equipped and staffed workshop. :wink:

You'd be hard pressed to fulfill that $8k budget. :roll:

A mate of mine just travelled from Perth to Melbourne for the full Baum treatment, they picked him up from the airport, showed him around the factory, had lunch, did his fit etc. He's a steel afficionado.

He ended up dropping around $5,500 on the bike, full dura-ace groupset, and it's expected in Perth mid Feb , I'll be very interested to see it in the flesh!

Baum cycles do some quality steel frames, wish I could afford one.

A mate of a mate, I don't know him personally, but apparently he did some work for the company, and got mates rates on a bike, custom steel. apparently usual price ~$3500-4000, he paid ~$1500. Full Ultegra. Lucky bugger. Nice, light bike too, I've seen it.
