I doubt they would be in a position to buy EPS if it were not for the existence of Di2Deusirae wrote:
The posts in this thread don't seem to understand that Campagnolo EPS buyers could not care less what Shimano has done or will do. They are buying Campagnolo EPS because it has the Campagnolo imprimatur on it. Nothing else will suffice and nothing else is necessary.
What if the electronic Alfine did away with the shift cable connection to the hub - i.e. used a wireless connection or a commutatorjasonc wrote:don't worry - commuters get upgraditis too, but yes, we are more budget conscious. Most commuters/tourers seem more budget concious than your average roadie and don't seem to succumb to "upgraditis" as much so it would be interesting to see how many Di2 Alfine hubs are sold (either in Australia or worldwide).

In fairness Campag have got a march on quite a bit over the years.Parrott wrote:I doubt they would be in a position to buy EPS if it were not for the existence of Di2Deusirae wrote:

Shimano's innovation may continue to influence what Campag do in the future, so I would argue that they should pay attention to what Shimano has done and will do
From all I've read, no they're not. Sell them now....Marty Moose wrote:Just hope my C24's are still use able MM
Sorry but you have that the wrong way round Ross.Ross wrote:10spd C24s will take a 11spd cassette but the 11spd ones won't take a 10spd cassette
If they do what Campy did and run a narrower chain, he can most likely just swap his freehubs. If they stick with Shimano standard, then new wheels could be on the table. Some wheels can goto 11sp Shimano with a freehub change.Ross wrote:So what happens when SRAM go to 11 speed or make their own Di2/EPS?jcjordan wrote:Well it looks like this Shimano fan will be going SRAM on the next bike.
4 sets of wheels that would be useless on the new bike, no thanks.
