Buying a dual suspension mountain bike

Postby modestyisgood » Thu Oct 18, 2012 3:46 pm

Hi all,
I am seriously considering buying this Polygon Mountain Bike from bicyles online but would like to get some help first. Fits my budget around $1500.
http://www.bicyclesonline.com.au/2010-p ... -27-speed/

FRONT SUSPENSION-FOX 36 TALAS R 160 O/B

REAR SUSPENSION-FOX FLOAT RP23

HANDLEBAR-SYNCROS AM40 GRUNGE

STEM-SYNCROS AM GRUNGE

SADDLE-FIZIK ZEAK

SEATPOST-SYNCROS AM GRUNGE

CRANKSET-SHIMANO SLX FC-M660

WHEELSET-MAVIC CROSSLINE

1. Have anyone ridden polygon mountain bikes before?
2. Is the bike worth the money?

Thank you for all the advices in advance

At $1500 that is a lot of nice parts. The Fork alone sells for between $600 and $1200.

That is an all mountain bike. You can ride it up mountains but it is designed to be ridden down quite rough terrain.

The next model up got a good review in the latest Mountain Biking Australia magazine.

My bike blog. Long on rumination, rambling and opinion. Why let facts ruin everything?
