Wellgo (Look copy) cleats compatible with Shimano shoes?

Hi,

I have a set of Wellgo RC5 cleats (http://www.torpedo7.com.au/products/WEPELN7C5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), which from what I understand, are basically a copy of the Look delta cleats (http://www.this link is broken/look-delta-cleats/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).

I'm wondering if anybody has any experience in whether these cleats are compatible with shimano shoes. I am aware Shimano shoes have 3 holes in the sole for the SPD system, and the Wellgo/Look cleat has 3 holes as well. Nevertheless I have concerns about the bolt hole positions and the size of the holes (i.e. are the spd bolts thicker/thinner than the Wellgo/Look bolts).

Any advice is appreciated.

All the three hole pattern cleats are compatible, there's no difference in bolt lengths.

So any 3 holed cleat will go with any 3 holed shoe?

Thanks

In the great majority yes (because somebody will point out some obscure 3 hole cleat/pedal/shoe that does not fit the standard pattern)

So Look, Look Keo and SPD-SL cleats all fit the standard 3 hole shoes

It would have to be pretty damn obscure - Time i-clic and RSX all work with the 3 hole pattern, all of the Campagnolo cleats use the same pattern. Speedplay same deal. Keywin same deal.

It's tough to think of a pedal that doesn't use the 3 hole pattern that isn't an SPD variant. At least, not since the Look delta pedals were released.
