Yet More Dyno Hub Goodness Available

Postby rifraf » Tue Nov 20, 2012 1:28 am

I spotted on Ebay yet another dynamo hub/light combo that I hadnt before seen.
I did a quick search here to see but could find no mention of the brand/model.
Exposure Revo
http://www.exposurelights.com/product/3 ... %28new%29/
One ebay listing is 321023430202 if you want a squiz

Great to see so many models and variations now available to us the consumer. :D

Hopefully the availability will increase demand and lower prices as well as continue to improve
technology.
I suspect these guys may be out of the ballpark with their pricing but as I've rushed to share I have yet
to read the spiel so could be surprised.

From the bikeradar.com forum:

Hmmmmm the news might not all be so good for this one

Good grief, where have I been. Even bloomin wiggle knows more about them than I do:

Surly Ogre, Carry Freedom Y-frame Trailer, Extrawheel trailer.

Aushiker had spotted something about this in January (http://www.bicycles.net.au/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=41022&p=736916&hilit=exposure+dynamo#p736916) and it looks like Exposure are still going with packging their new headlight with the SP dynamo hubs, they have however changed the headlight from that reviewed Jan2012 http://road.cc/content/news/50411-exposure-launch-dynamo-system. Now they have 4 Cree LEDs and an 800 lumen output. You can buy the Shutter Precision hubs separately via Ebay, the real question will be how the headlight performs. Have they just rigged up a glaring MTB light to a dynamo or does it have the finesse in shaping the light output so that you can see the road more than the possums that you might be burning out of the trees? Don't ask me, I've already committed to the latest B&M headlight with all the bells and whistles.

Ha :!: Piped at the post I see
I did pop exposure revo into our forum search engine and nary a thing came up.
Maybe my spelling was remiss - it wouldn't be the first time.
Thanks for the links
I'm still over the moon with my Edelux and unless it damaged in a crash dont feel the need to upgrade yet. I understand perfectly your attraction to the work of art that is the new B&M headlight - beautiful design and superb performance.
Those shutter precison hubs do look a bargain at $125 or so and their 2 year warranty is a good sign of faith in the product (hopefully).
No real interest in this product for myself but thought I'd share it as a sign that perhaps dynamo lighting was at last getting the manufacturer attention our sport/lifestyle etc. deserves and proof positive that battry free lighting was getting more mainstream.
