BB Tools Rotor-Q

Postby foo on patrol » Fri Jan 04, 2013 9:38 am

I would like to know are the BBs these days tool specific or not? :?

My bike has the Rotor BB and I want to know if there is a universal tool for these and Shimano or not because back when I was on the scene you could use a Campy tool on a Shimano and visversa.

I had to build up a new bike with a rotor bb last year, was a funny system with preload... I seem to recall it did need special tools... Which we didn't have but managed to get away with it.

Hmm I might have to do some hard research. I have not done a grease and oil change on the BB in 3yrs. :|
