Cheers, MadCow

I'm in Qld and I'd still like to know the same thing. Especially, when will be the best time to grab a Defy Advanced 1 or 2 over within the next 6 months or soMadCow wrote:Hi,

Ahh, they are not cheap up here , at all. So much so I have not gone ahead with a purchase yet.
I saw much cheaper prices online, in Brissy, Melbourne and over in WA.

Is "up here" Sydney? I've seen the 2013 Defy Advanced 1 for $2399 in Brissie so far. Am I likely to do better than that in the next 6 months?reefer wrote:Ahh, they are not cheap up here , at all. So much so I have not gone ahead with a purchase yet.

I should have said NSW is pretty expensive compared to other states. hoping for a factory backed sale in Feb to grab a decent deal, otherwise going to get euro brands instead from place lik

Giant do model change over in september, so that is best time to buy.
Due to slowest time of year for bike retailers being winter, particularly in cooler climates, its a good time to negotiate on prices.

Sydney dealers definitely don't seem in the mood to discount Giant (was hoping to see a TDU promotion).
I'm guessing the likelihood of discounting increases, as the model year wears on...
