G'day
I have been thinking about one of these and attaching it to my helmet so I can easily read my Garmin 305 without having to turn on the back light. I haven't been able to find them in the LBS of late so was wondering if $10.00 was a good price. Anyone know?

Anaconda had them in a twin pack (red/white) for $19 the other day.
Just tested the white one and my 305...
it shows the screen ok... but alot of screwing around getting the beam in the right spot plus I got a bit of light reflection.
I think it might be worth while just trying the ride with the backlight left on...
Personally get enough off the HID (LuxHID - He looked after me so I will plug his website) on my helmet to see the screen..

T7 had them on special last week for about $7 for a pair - red and white. I think they are back up to 15.00 a pair again.
I picked up a few the last time they were on special. The red one goes on the back of my helmet, and the front one stays on the front of the bike in flashing mode, while the head light is on constant beam.
I gave one of the white ones to my son to use as a torch when we went camping, and I got to say it produces an impressive ammount of light for its size. About as much as a Petzl Micro. For the size and weight, it makes a good spare torch.

I've thought about getting some of these mini lights for the helmet and such but the turn off for me is:
2x CR2032 Batteries Included
100 Hrs (Blinking) Batteries Life
I think it'd be annoying having to buy these non rechargeable batteries every few months. Now there was 1xAAA version available...

CR 2032's are cheap as chips at Deal Extreme only problem is you end up buying a heap of other stuff
The also have a heap of those Cree LED's I think I saw someone doing a power mod for those around here somewhere.

Yeah I'm a bit cynical of Dealextremes batteries after my N95 1200mah deal extreme battery life is shorter then the 900mah stock one.
Having said that all my bike lights are powered by AAA 900mh dealextreme batteries and they are excellent.
HMMMMMMMM WHAT TO DO.
