Questions about purchasing bicycles and parts

Reading this forum for some months, but never posted before.
Looking to buy a road bike (first in 20 years). After thorough research decided to shortlist Trek Madone 2.1, Cannondale CAAD8 5 105/ Synapse and Giant Defy 1. As all bike shops seem to have the same price I'm willing to buy bike from the local shop which will be able to provide better fitting and service in the future (good workshop).
Perhaps somebody can recommend me a shop with good fitting service ideally in Castle Hill - Hornsby area (though nearest Trek dealer is only in Rouse Hill)?
Going to test ride several bikes in a coming weeks, but having not ridden for many years not sure if I would be able to decide which bike is better for me.
Another thing - buying $1500-1700 bike what kind of extras/discount can I expect to get? Free water bottle? Free helmet?
If I'll buy my shoes/pedals online, will dealer help me to fit cleats or it is "I will only fit whatever you bought in my shop"?
Coming from my motorcycling experience I know that during the cold months number of people wanting to buy motorcycle drops significantly and therefore dealers are willing to negotiate in winter. Is it the case with bicycles?
Everyone will fit you on any gear you bring into the shop but it is unlikely to be free. It may even be more expensive than you realise!
I was fitted by Charles at the Rouse Hill Trek store and despite me feeling it was a bit rough and ready - it's not a BG Fit or Steve Hogg marathon session - I haven't had any problems riding that bike at all fitwise, and I've ridden hard and long kms on the 5.2 2012. You would be REALLY wise to get your shoes/pedals/bike at the same place if possible to ensure everything is working OK. I can personally vouch that you will not be upset going through Rouse Hill.
ive had no luck at the castle hill shop,
i go to paramatta to blackmans or north syd to bike bug
My friend got a bike fit done at http://www.kangazilla.com/about-us/ - he was happy with it. Pretty sure the owner there has done a course in it...
If its Parramatta, Id prefer the more freindly service of Bike Barn, down the road from Blackmans.
what about Cyclesport in Thornleigh?
Mal has done the specialised course. OP, you are willing to travel, just go see Steve Hogg if you can afford it. No one will be better, but he is twice as much as a BG fit (specialized's) and more than 3 times the cost of most shops. He can give you a geometry template to suit you as well... Just depends on your price range.
He charges 350 on top of your bike purchase at ksngazilla
Just to clarify - I'm going to buy Trek/Cannondale/Giant and asking about decent fitting which comes for free with a new bike. Kangazilla sells Specialized.
Yep, it's not a bad price for the service either. Steve Hogg is around 700. LOL
You aren't getting the same fit at most other LBSs. Doesn't mean it won't suit you fine - I've been quite happy with my Madone's setup via Charles' quick and simple fit, and I've a lot of kms on that bike. A fit helps, for sure, but if the shop can't get you pretty close without causing you injury, then you need more than just an LBS fit. ALL the really good fits are around 300 bucks+++.
Go Rouse Hill. You won't be disappointed. Done.
Well, ended up buying Trek Madone 2.1 from Turramurra Cyclery. Overall, very impressed with bike itself, service and bike fitting.
