Europa bike frame...

Postby garumchai » Tue May 20, 2008 11:37 pm

Hi de ho,

Just scored up a Europa frame today and was wondering if anyone knows anything about these bikes? I believe they are Australian made by a bloke called John Abeni (?) in Adelaide. Its got a made in Australia sticker on it and a couple of 'Pacific' decals as well. Brake cable runs along top of top tube, very light (chrome-moly frame), no deraileur hanger (original deraileur looks circa 80's), threaded headset, canti brakes and a 100mm steerer tube. If anyone knows anything about these bikes I'd be very interested to hear.

Cheers,

Mick...

Apart from that info you just listed there really isn't much info on them. I have one of them and one of our members who just left for uni also has one. But there isn't a great amount of information on them.

The only thing i know is they are Australia made by Abeni in a shop "Europa Cycles" I have a phone number at home actually on the bike. My bike has ofmega gears which i believe are italian or something?

Mitch.
