Beginner buying a road bike

Postby beginner1 » Sun May 19, 2013 8:41 pm

Hi all,

I am a beginner and i would like to buy a RB for leisure. I am 167cm tall and my legs are short

Which bike's geometry fit short legs the most? I have tried small and XS size on Defy1 and i find that i am more confident on XS.

Giant Defy1
CAAD6 8 Tiagara
Focus Culebro 5.0 27-G

Test the bikes at the LBS - they will do a bike fit for you. Sounds like you've already found the right size in the Giant, they just need to tweak it for you.

I'm 174cm and I'm on a Giant TCR Advanced SL in the "M" size and on Trek Madone, I'm a 54cm frame. The difference between us is that I have long legs, so the saddle height for me is quite high.
