26.4 seat posts

Postby uMP2k » Thu Dec 07, 2006 12:48 am

Just wondering if anybody knows of a source for good quality 26.4 diameter seatposts. My old steel frame is desperately in need of a new seatpost, but the only one I have been able to find in the local shops (Perth) of that diameter have been very basic/heavy/ugly and I would love to get something better.

Have been searching online but no luck so far.

Any ideas?

Did you try Google and eBay?
Bianchi, Ridley, Montague, GT, Garmin and All things Apple :)

Try Moruya Bicycles I just ordered a 26.2mm seat post from them for my steelie.

Look under "Parts" when you get on the site.

Without wishing to appear sarcastic, that does not surprise me one bit. Have you tried Glen Parker Cycles in Nedlands? The guy has gone out of his way to help me find obscure parts.

I've picked up some high quality parts from the tip, and shop there quite regularly.

Worked a charm - just about to order one from them. It is actually $5 cheaper than it would have been from my LBS - if they had the right size!

This is obviously a valuable forum.
I had not thought that such a place would exist. Thanks to whoever is doing the drudge work.
