Purchasing a trike
Postby Coronet » Tue Nov 04, 2014 8:55 am
Where do I go to purchase a trike. I have emailed Flying Furniture twice with no response and Greenspeed once, they responded saying they would forward my email, a month later I have heard nothing.
Someone must sell trikes in Australia, I don't want to buy a second hand trike.
Regards

You could also look at http://www.trisled.com.au/index.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
We imported our trikes direct from Performer in Taiwan (performer.com.tw).

That said, look at the Perfomers, seem to be plenty of happy customers with them.

I also used Phil's trike for a few km. Noodle boom indeed. I had an Ice Adventure FS HD at the time and the boom was a heap stiffer but still deflected a little bit under load.Phil wrote:I had an ICE Vortex. I would not recommend, for the money spent I found the front boom deflected excessively under load (>1") which made it a lot slower than it needed to be. For the record at that stage I was 92kg, and my FTP was only 270 Watts. You really noticed the movement and the lack of efficiency on hills, compared with a cheaper trike that was stiffer (like the Cattrike)

Ian was happy to have me at the factory and had a couple of different trikes to ride as well as all of the range to view. Could be worth a trip over with both MR and greenspeed available?Coronet wrote:I am in Perth but happy to travel around to get the right trike. I don't think Greenspeed have a showroom. How do you find the right one.

Flyingfurniture seems to have shut up shop. There has not been a sound out of him since Jan.petie wrote:Ian was happy to have me at the factory and had a couple of different trikes to ride as well as all of the range to view. I agree, Flying furniture no longer exists.Baalzamon wrote:Flyingfurniture seems to have shut up shop. I have been told that the chap who owns Flying Furniture is with his partner on posting in Honiara (postings are usually 2 or 3 years). I am a Canberra Greenspeed owner and am hoping it will re-open on their return.Aushiker wrote:I suspect you will find that Flying Furniture is no more. There is a guy in Sydney. I am sure someone will have the details or you can Google it.
