Bike Decal
Postby jmart2535 » Tue Dec 05, 2017 8:18 pm
I am trying to restore a Bennett Sportster. Unfortunately the stickers are in terrible condition and I am struggling to find replacements. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Yes. Google "Cyclomondo"
Greg Softley is your man.
If he doesnt have the stickers in stock he can make them.
He's also on Ebay under Cyclomondo.
Absolutely the best in the business used by all the guys who restore bicycles.

+1 for Greg at Cyclomondo, exactly what DernyDriver said, and is easily the best. Link to his contact details below, and have no hesitation in recommending him.

The Best way ive found to remove decals is a rubber compound disc that can go in a drill or grinder. Obviously you first need to get through the top clear coat layer. I havent seen your frame so i dont know how thick it is. Use a VERY fine grit sand paper! The disc will spin at a high rate and heat up the decal/sticker (wot eva). it will become malleable and you'll be able to remove it.
You'll need to re-seal the frame after the new sticker goes on.
