U/D Lock suggestions to use in Perth

Greetings. I just purchased my new Dahon bike and I want to use a U/D Lock instead of the usual cable/chain locks. I am not from Perth but I'll be moving there to study. My biggest concern in picking the lock is that it shouldn't be too big that it can be moved while locked having a space for someone to pry it or too small that I can't even lock my bike anywhere because I do not know how thick commonly the bike poles/parking spaces are.

I'll be commonly locking my bike around Bentley, mainly inside Curtin. If anyone has a knowledge of how thick the poles are, that would be much of help for me to pick which lock to buy.

With that said, I have my eye on these locks from wiggle:

Can't help you with regards to Curtin uni pole diameters, just buy the best rated lock you can get for your budget (user reviews are so helpful nowadays).
Realistically, bike thieves are now able to carry battery powered angle grinders that will munch through the best expensive lock in a couple of minutes. Yes it'll make noise and sparks, but nobody will stop them or report them sadly.
