10 speed 105 rear derailleur - hen's teeth?

I am trying to find a replacement rear derailleur for my 10 speed CX bike - 105, Ultegra, or even Tiagra.

I realise that 11 speed has been pretty well adopted now, but I am amazed at how few stores stock the 5700/6700 series derailleurs anymore - and the price when they do!

Most painful of all is that, at many of these shops, the 5800 mech is cheaper!

The 11 speed equivalent can be had for $70 I think.

Did you manage to find a med or long-cage Ultegra 10s derailleur? (mind if I ask - where from?)

Might be a sign to upgrade to Ultegra DI2 6770.

i've got 3 bikes all running 10speed components. upgrading one might eventually lead to another .. and another ... just a bottomless money pit for me

Front derailleur, rear derailleur, and all the other bits and pieces (junction boxes, battery, etc) Probably around $600 worth of bits and pieces

Caneye: I bought it off c r c for $109 for the short cage. Medium was slightly cheaper from memory! Should be arriving this week. Cell bikes I think had it for around the same price.

That's understandable. I'm thinking about doing it just because it would be an interesting project for my 10 year old bike, but it is more dollars than sense.

No, that's pretty well non-existant now. Mechanical 10-sp. is still around.
