Avanti Corsa ER 1 2016 or Giant TCR Advanced 1 Disc 2018

Postby hdrezvani » Sun Jul 01, 2018 3:10 pm

Hi guys,

I am looking for the most reliable endurance road bike (in my budget between $2,000 and $2,500) with the Carbon material, disk brake and group set shimano 105.

These are my options:
1. Giant TCR Advanced 1 Disc 2018 ($2,500)

2. SCOTT ADDICT 20 DISC BIKE ($2,200)

3. Avanti Corsa ER 1 2016 ($1,500)

I am not familiar with the Avanti Corsa ER 1. which option do you recommend and why?

Any comment is appreciated.

I can't comment on the avanti or Scott bkes, but if you're after an "endurance" frame, in the Giant range that's the Defy, not the TCR. The TCR is a race bike, although optimised as a better all-rounder than the brutally efficient Propel.
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

I imagine reliability would be very similar across all bikes, and 105 and discs will largely perform the same too, so if possible go in store and test ride these bikes to see what their different personalities are like.

And yes, the Giant Defy Advanced 2 is their endurance bike with 105 and discs - rrp$2699 (in store for $2200)
