New Ultegra Brake/Shift Levers

Hobbled out to the garage to check the damage on my bike after my little crash a week ago

It appears that my body took all the impact as the damage is very light.
The only real damage is the shifters knocked out of whack and badly scratched up.

The question is that is it worth trying to find some 6800 shifters or just go 8000?
I presume they are just a straight swap?

I will need to check the rear hanger as the RD I ended up on my right side and there is the slightest mark on the RD.
What is the best priced (accurate) hangar tool?
Been think of buying one for a while anyway as I am sure the spare bike hanger is not straight.

I had a similar situation in March and happened to fluke a set of new 6800 shifters on Ebay. I also tried Insurance Bikes Australia to see if they had a set of second hand ones they wanted to part with. They said they did but didn't ever follow up with confirmation or a price.

I snapped the RH lever. The left hand is a little scratched but in reasonable condition if you were interested.

Keeping an eye out for some good second hand ones. No scratches preffered.
Was tempted by some Dura Ace the other day, but they they won't match everything else and we can't have that

If I can't find anything by the time I am ready to ride again, it will have to be new.
Got a few more weeks off the bike, so no hurry. Can ride the spare if not sorted by then.

6800s should still be reasonably available. Depending on what's damaged, if you ask the right people you can get spare parts and not have to stump up for a complete set.

Buying a new hanger is usually cheaper than the tool.

Buying a new hanger is usually cheaper than the tool.

But a tool is always handy to have for the future as well
