Sora R3000 flat bar shifters, trimming supported?

Postby nandystam » Mon Oct 08, 2018 4:40 pm

As per the subject, do the R3000 flat bar shifters support trimming? I've looked at the Shimano website and the linked user manual suggests that it does, but the illustrations refer to the traditional road bike style brifter, not the flat bar version.

Thanks :D

I believe they do. I haven't met the Sora flat shifters, but given that historically Sora and the step-up Tiagra bits are very similar bar the number of gears, and the 4700 Tiagra flat shifters have full trim function, it's a fair bet to suppose that R3000 also do. :-)
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

Thanks, I would've thought so as well since my other shifters (also Sora's) are an older model and have it, but this shop seemed adamant that they didn't.

Either that or they had no idea what trimming is :D
