Suggestion for a new frame

Postby Rone69 » Thu Oct 11, 2018 10:29 pm

Hello to all,
I'd like your advices for a new carbon frame, I'm looking for a non-branded/Chinese road frame, the features that interested me are:
- good construction quality
- good ride quality, I'm looking for an all-rounder with good climbing and descendig quality.
- tyres clearance up to 30mm or higher
- direct mount rim brakes
- seat tube angle 73° or 73.5° (in size 54-55) with standard seatpost

So far, I've found only two frames with this specs:
the first one is beautiful, but it's seem like a knoc-koff of the Tarmac SL6, is the "Fasterway Classic" I don't find any info about the frame or about the manufacturer:

the second one, is the Gotobike B40 aka Winspace SLC 2.0, I've found many pics, it is used by some cycling society, some of wich are semi-pro ..

I will appreciate any suggestion you will give to me.
Thank you in advance.

You could check out weight weenies web site, lots of stuff on there about Chinese carbon, or look at Hong Fu frames like fm088

Yes, just a short ride, 59km +850, 3 climbs, the frame is responsive, stiff enough, not harsh, absolutely comfortable, the direct mount brakes are amzing, much better than the "standard" brakes.

Which country are you based in?

With Aliexpress it is a massive marketplace but I still perceive some risks, very specifically with the fakes.

Glad this is working out for you, was there a lot of email communication? What was the total purchase cost and any breakdown in price (if available). Did you have import duty abd taxes to pay?

Which delivery partner did they use, was there tracking and was the bike fully assembled or was this your job.

Lots of questions, but hope you are ok to share as a lot if people read use this to judge and consider purchase options.

Since the OP said frame and frameset numerous times I guess it was a build it yourself job.

Looks decent.
