Coming from north of the river I was thinking of any poor soul doing it from the south.
There were times with wind at my back that I was doing 20% higher top speed, will suffer the other edge of that sword tonight on the way home =P

Morning ride was special (quick) got a top 4 and lots of PRs on strava but ride home was horrid and coupled with free chicken and chips and a coke (zero) from work, some interesting burps on the way home

101km up to Mount Helena and around the Swan Railway Heritage Trail. Heading northwest at 7am was magic. Heading back into the wind...well, it kinda sucked!

Our Saturday Group ride was cancelled so headed out on sunday morning solo up to Gooseberry Hill Road and the zig zag- almost tempted to ride up Coulston Rd but needed to be home, 80km all up.. beautiful conditions apart from the 10minutes of rain early on which froze me.

The zig zag was really entertaining to ride down, wet and covered with sand and gravel...

Our 300k ride from Bullsbrook had 90km of heavy rain and 200km of 'fresh' winds. The last 100km was blissful even if it was dark.... :D

That was there yesterday morning :?

There were 2 trees down at the same spot, must have been a freak mini-storm as the weather wasn't too bad Wednesday night.

Absolutely magic today. Would have been nice for the Avon Descenters as well.

Anyone else get their free bike wash and blow dry this afternoon. Thought I could beat the rain home - got 2/3 of the way home (along Mitchel PSP heading north) and then down it came. Kind of fun, except I was riding into it (which stung) and I kept thinking about the clean up I now need to do.

Off for a clean up

Yeah headed south this afternoon and I left after the 4pm downpour so I should be happy about it... but I'm sick of the bad weather tbh.
Doesn't look to be changing anytime soon.

I was meant to drive to work after dropping the kids off but the weather was to good so I headed home grabbed the kit and bike and rode in (1 hour late getting in but I can get away with that occasionally if I don't abuse it).
It was awesome!
I got hit by a car that failed to give way once - it really hurt

Looking forward to the ride home this evening, north from the CBD, left my bike in the cage since Monday am, but the weather looks like being about perfect

Not my bird (Autumn and Winter to be precise).

Beautiful weather, itching to get out and ride, might go the long way home tonight as there is also a slight southerly (tailwind), may head over to west coast highway perhaps

Thanks, I'm about to head out past there so will avoid it, but have been usually taking the west side since the detour at Loftus bridge.
