Full finger CAPO gloves for those cold mornings - lovely
A pair of CAPO socks - great quality and really comfortable.
Foam roller - fast becoming the most useful thing I've purchased all year.
Also got some GU brew tabs to mix with water. Found out quickly to be careful when opening the valve on the bottle. quite pressurised!

In cycling terms, I'm pathetic this year.
Yet I've still managed to spend around $6k on a new frame and some odds and sods!! I'm scheduling in the new frame for next week to be built which will add more $ but bring a big smile to my face

About $70 for the pair of them. And apart from that, about $190 for a Giant Contact SLR 90mm carbon stem.

I'm speechless!
Now I don't feel so bad about possibly spending $300 on some new brake calipers:

I got a Liquid Image Ego HD camera to go on the bike sometimes. It took a while to fit the camera to the bike - but it is on there now, hanging upside down from the stem with velcro straps designed for fitting it to a helmet. I imagine I'll have to flip the video in Premiere, but that's easy to do. I don't have a micro SDHC 32gb card for it yet.
I was in Jet Cycles yesterday... Very much liking that red Specialized Shiv on display there, with those carbon wheels. I had a feeling of, if you need to ask what it costs, you can't afford it and don't need it.

I won't list my Friday arvo purchases, though you and Spiz know about them. Somehow despite those, I managed to drag myself along to Prestons Saturday morning.zozza wrote:1 packet Aldi chicken nuggets 500g-------------$2-99
Anyhow - my latest purchases:
2 of Deda Traforato (Perforated) Bar Tape (Black)
1 of Park Tools CM5.2 Cyclone Chain Cleaner (Blue)
1 of K-Edge Go Big GoPro Handlebar Mount (Pro Version) (Black)
And from local:
1 SPD SL yellow cleats
2 SIDI replacement heels
Tried using the camera on the bike for the first time this afternoon - hence the K-edge thing above. Velcro straps don't hold the camera secure - every join in the concrete just shakes the camera like hell.

That should get some riders in the local area all steamed up.
I seem to be getting thinner and thinner now - some of my other jerseys no longer fit. It's a nice problem to have.

-New cross bike $2300
-New suspension forks $350
-Probably spent about $230 on tyres and tubes
- New XT drivetrain on MTB, whatever they cost, plus new rear wheel bearings and all of the tools to do this and tyre sealant
- New seat, cassette, chain, rear derailler on cross bike
- New handlebar, tape, pedals, chain, small chainring and headset on roadbike
- New lights for handlebar and helmet
- I'm sure there was other stuff, I lose track, oh a Garmin 500 and speed cadence sensor and some clothing and cycling prescription glasses
Only did about 3,000km this year so per km it was quite pricey.

Just as well I'm thinner than I used to be. It looks like it will fit me perfectly - and it looks pretty damn nice too.
