road bike description says good bike, good brand. Sme people have no idea how to sell stuff. Photo says more, can see the word CADEX.

While it is always possible that it is just the usual dodgy photography, my best guess is that this was a time trial bike with funny bike geometry & some joker has replaced the 650 front wheel & fork with a 700C.
Yep spot on. There was one of those bikes at the Noosa Strade Bianche show on the weekend with the correct fork and front wheel. I'd be all over that if it wasn't at the other end of the country :( .
i messaged this guy to see if he has the original forks. no luck :(

interesting trying to find a 24" fork and then even more interesting trying to find a 24" wheel, and the even more interesting trying to find a 24" tyre!

or you could get some butterfly bars and pop mad wheelies on it.

I reckon I could find a wheel np (or at least one to rebuild). The fork is a real problem, as others have said. Tyre...

Interesting saddle position vs the BB. Even with the lower front end if you get the right fork/wheel on there the saddle is a long way behind - pretty much the polar opposite of the current accepted norm for Triathlon bikes.

Put disc tabs on it, 26" wheels, suspension fork and go ride some downhill? It's almost the easier option...

Also, for anyone playing at home - I got it. Just don't look at what I payed for it. :P What's a big stack of money when you could own a tandem instead!!! It was under my maximum bid and what I was expecting to pay, and I'm very excited to go and see it. Now for the next problem, how to transport a Tandem from Shepparton...

Well done.

I'll be driving from Canberra to Melbourne at the end of September. :wink: Shepparton is not a long way off the Hume and it's only a bit over an hour away from Melbourne.

Well done, a good buy, and can I have the name of your accountant :-)

There are some good tandem roof rack adapters available these days transport should be a breeze. Though some people can cram them into cars not much larger than a Honda jazz, well exactly the same size as one actually.

Nah, they're 700c. That's Toolongs touring bike :wink:
...Mulger Bill...I'm all but 6ft 5" & using traditional 25" Steel Frames... a "fist full of seat post is where its at" to quote SSS, if they were 700c rims that frame would be approx 29"...so you would have to be 7ft + to ride that...I hear TLL is big but that is a stretch...imagine the bottom bracket frame flex!

but no.... sanity check.....20 x 1-1/8” tires

Did anyone get this? Looks like a nice frame, only if it were local to me
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/vintage-camp ... true&rt=nc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Cheap Softride anyone?
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/151101928076 ... 1438.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Another seller who doesnt know what theyre selling. A Cadex which may go for cheap
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/121159266348 ... 1438.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Cheap Katana frame in amazing condition
http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/toukley/ ... 1025763754#" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And is this the real deal? Apparent a Kerry Hopkins. I know he's a frame builder, but what tubing did he use? Theres not that much info at all on him. Maybe Ill get it if it is good stuff.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/121157587227 ... 1438.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And looks like Rod Martin himself remembers the bike my bro bought, linked on the previous page. He built it and specifically remembers painting it for Nicole Hackett, an Aussie Olympian triathlete. Pretty cool to know that. Now to get my bro to agree to get it repainted to its prime condition.

Largish Kenevans in N Freo, sounds like it's been well cared for. $$$ though. Seller's other items also include crutches, he has a knee injury apparently..

geez, that's nice. Gotta be gone by now. Most of the people I work with are on the CC. I'll SMS in the vain hope it's still there.
What's the go on those triples? Moves the rear wheel closer to the ST, right? Snappier handling?

Well, no, it's not a pushbike, otherwise I'd be pushing it...

I'm a fan of the dappled shade can't-see-any-detail photography. Much better than lens flare.

My partner is in Mexico on university exchange, she was very excited to hear about it. I also asked another friend but he's too busy for a 150k ride. Of course, there is Sheldon's way...

Also for sale in the marketplace for same price. That's the last of the silver campy along with Athena 11, get it while you can. And what a stunning colour.
