My advice would be to go to the LBS and get one that fits properly - i'm considering visiting the local alterations shop to see if I can get 5cm taken out of the chest of my Monton jerseykunalraiker wrote:Cycling Monton is GONE??

And this Sky jersey cause of the neat design. But it looks like I'll be a M/L. Any issues with these fake jerseys in terms of its quality?

And if I need something more sensible than the Dragon, this Chenji one isn't too bad looking. Don't seem to have read any info on Chenji stuff, so anyone used their stuff before?

Their small fits similar to my XS 2XU jersey.QuangVuong wrote:How accurate is the Monton sizing(particularly in this link)? I'm thinking about grabbing this in long sleeve version in small.

As for bibs, I found their smalls really tight (usually wear small DHB bibs), so I'd probably go a size up.

Sizing consistent with their guide, and similar to Mupicycling.
The cap was a little different, basically same material as the jersey, so tad floppy, but i guess good absorb sweat under your helmet.
$116 for two sets of jerseys and bib shorts and one cap.
24/7 - ordered
25/7 - confirmation of order and processed
5/8 - arrived
pretty happy with that.

I'm not familiar with those ones, but I do know where you can get jerseys for $6.50 each http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z ... 717895674&dajackal wrote:Can anyone recommend where I can get cheap jerseys from? Something similar to the $15 or $16.50 ones at Cell. Unfortunately they ran out of my size.
There's 2 problems;
1. you need to pay in RMB
2. you need to have them posted to a chinese address and then on posted.

http://www.montonsport.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
And English site
http://www.monton.us/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
And their eBay store is
http://myworld.ebay.com.au/montonsport? ... 7675.l2559" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Monton make pretty good quality stuff(only Monton branded too), and dont manufacture the fake team jerseys. I purchased a long sleeve jersey through Becky, the one who replied to my enquiry on eBay. She was easy to talk to, with pretty good English, and suggested a good size, which I shouldve listened to. Anyway, I paid $35 via Paypal on the 2nd of August, and they got it sent out before the 5th(the day I enquired about the order). The parcel(more so a plastic satchel), left Hong Kong on the 8th, and it arrived this morning. 9 working days aint that bad at all! The jersey itself is good quality. Comparing to my bro's Netti and Body Torque jerseys, the materials and printing isnt too bad. For $35, its a great price, and I wouldnt mind buying some of the short sleeves later on.
Inside the plastic satchel was this. A Monton zip lock bag.
Tag reads RMB 308, and thats about $55 Aussie bucks. It gives genreal info about their brand, and all.
Now I ordered a S size, which the sizing chart is here. Sizing is quite accurate, with my measurements spot on with theirs, with the exception of the sleeve lengths. I measured 30", as opposed to the 32" in the chart, but thats not bad, as 32" wouldve been a little too long. I couldve gone up a size to have a more comfy fit, but thats a slight mishap on my side.
I also ordered a fake TdF Black Jersey from one of the 2 sellers I could find on eBay selling it. I bought this also on the same day, and received it today as well! This was around $33 or so according to the conversion rates, but the quality is a whole different matter to the Monton. The material used throughout the jersey is a very stretchy one, which was quite thin and kinda see through. The printing of the yellow writing isnt sharp, esp on the back pocket, easily leading to the fakeness of the jersey. The main differences to the real deal, would be the sleeve design being a reglan as opposed to set in, having a full length zipper, no stitched in collar, and the printing on the inside of the collar. The sizing was pretty accurate(followed the chart), but it has a more comfy fit than the Monton.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/111124488554" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;?
Overall, my initial impressions are good, and wouldnt mind getting a Monton later on. Wouldnt really get another fake, unless there was some crazy design I really liked. Now Ill give them a wash tomorrow and see how they go.

How about the $15 ones (at the moment, on sale) at T7?dajackal wrote:Can anyone recommend where I can get cheap jerseys from? Something similar to the $15 or $16.50 ones at Cell. Unfortunately they ran out of my size.

That is, if your size is small or medium, and you don't mind being a billboard for their economy brand.

Heh. Cheap, but I'm not so sure about the quality of their reproduction! You get what you pay for, I guess:mikesbytes wrote: I'm not familiar with those ones, but I do know where you can get jerseys for $6.50 each http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z ... 717895674&

Agree, if quality is important to you, then go for real brand name stuff. But it seems that the cheap stuff has been on the improve.BrownBike wrote:Heh. Cheap, but I'm not so sure about the quality of their reproduction! You get what you pay for, I guess
In the past I have brought some cheap stuff that I wasn't happy with, a jersey off ebay where the zip had to be left down or it would choke my neck and a set of nics where the pads in the chammos move around each time you wash them
In regards to this stuff, I have purchased one set from this seller to test the waters. I've used them 4 times and I'm quite happy with them so far http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=201 ... 5680556207
And yeh, they ain't as good as my Assos

thanks i had a look but the jersey sizes were too small for me. i did, however, end up buying a cheap $20 (now $15) vest, arm warmers and baselayers from them.barefoot wrote:How about the $15 ones (at the moment, on sale) at T7?
