That's terrible. Your lock worked but the quality of the bike rack didn't.
I hope you manage to find your bike.

Only to complement the information: It's a frame size 60
So, a rather large frame!

It's a fairly distinctive CAAD10 - especially in 60cm - hopefully someone will see it out and about.
Diego, be sure to get out the Yellow Pages - look up all secondhand dealers in your area (you could even contact the local council for a list) and physically check them all to see whether your bike has landed in one - that would be my expectation in these circumstances.
Good luck.

Do you know how they got into your building.
Is there any CCTV footage etc?
the same thing happened in my apartment. Apparently the thieves stole some master keys from a contractor (sounds like a dodgy contractor to me, very loose excuse), drove in with a white Ford Transit (95-2000) short wheel base, low roof. Stole a bunch of bikes and also ski gear, power tools. Basically anything they could get their hands on that was worth anything.
I would be very interested in comparing cctv footage, to see if the crooks might be the same. Also would be interested to know if these guys http://www.mtsintercoms.com.au/who-we-a ... jects.html handle your security, because they seemed to have royally stuffed up our apartment block.
I've heard of a similar scam around town, they all might be related somehow. I guess it just needs some people who could be bothered putting it all together.

There's CCTV footage. Building Management people have only been able to identify when the thieves leave the budling. They are carrying the bikes (lifting) as the locks were still on. They stole my bike and another good bike, a Giant TCR, the owner will probalby upload info here as well. I have pictures of the guys leaving the building. I'd be willing to share them.
One of the main security breaches was that bike racks were really easy to dismount. Also poor security management.
This happened at 65 Coventry Street, a less than a year old building.

It's a real shame. These security companies seem to be real cowboys. Our footage looks like something out of a ten year old camera phone.
I have no idea that the stolen bike market could be so large, I'd look for your parts online, they'll probably throw out the frame.
