Agreed. I find 500 lumen more than enough. Anything brighter on a shared path or road is unnecessary.

And if not pointing down, gives a blast to fellow cyclists coming the other way who for a moment actually can't see what's in front of their own wheel.

I do commute every now and again with a possum fryer, and make sure to get the angle right and dial back the power.

Its mate that goes on the helmet stays at home on such occasions, but not everyone else does that, of course.

Sorry ladies and gents,I should have been more specific,I meant what do you do whilst riding that you get real enjoyment out off, that may annoy others for eg. ain't it great when run a red light and leave all the do gooders behind.not that I run red lights, this is just an example.

Using the farmer's hanky on a group ride.

Don't you just love the way the slipstream carries it up and over your shoulder when you meant it to go low and to the side

Stalking motorbike riders (that's not really fair for motorbike riders) on their guttless 5cc mopeds - Even funnier if you start humming out loud the music for Jaws as you close down the distance/make the overtake. Dum dum dum dum dum dum dum. I also enjoy glancing over at stopped vehicles at traffic lights in the city (including passengers on buses) and do the whole "You wanna race? huh? fine... LETS RACE!". Give it the full beans then repeat at the next set of red lights 100m down the road. "Oh... back for more ayyyy" :P Also seeing a police speed camera van and thinking.... "Time for a sprint" :P

I just smile lots when I ride, sometimes I wave at queued smokeboxes on the commute. Seems a lot of people find that anti-social enough 8)

I'm a bit like Mulger Bill... Whenever a bogan in a car yells abuse I just smile broadly and give them a friendly but frenetic wave ( as if I am manically pleased to see them). It really p@(AT)@es them off.

1.) freedom of though and speech in Aus... everyone will have the right to their own opinions and views.

2.) In my opinion, he doesn't need to explain himself. The poster is obviously young and adventurous.. certain things that amuse some... may be tasteless to others....
i.e blowing up peoples mail boxes and burning their wheeling bins...

Freedom of thought and speech is not an excuse for uneducated, gutter and antisocial behaviour.

He doesn't need to explain himself, you are right. Not yet anyway.
