Tapatalk is the supported system we have integrated for smart phone and smart device access to the forum. It has a convenient format and makes reading and posting much easier when using a smart device. Plus a number of other forums use this as well.
In my inbox today, tapatalk for Android is on special this week, rather than US 4.99 is is US 0.99 which equates to AUD 1.09 (because Australians just love paying more for the same item).
In plain speak - tapatalk isn't perfect but is pretty good and you will appreciate it, so yes, I do recommend this if you use a smart device, particularly when you can get the discount.

Christopher, any thought on doing a custom Tapatalk app for BNA? Another forum I use occasionally has done this for Android, and are working on the iOS version. Tapatalk supports this which allows you to sell or give it away, but more importantly for sustaining the forum, it allows you to include advertising, which is lost in the generic tapatalk app.

I've had to buy both Tapatalk 2 and Tapatalk 4. However I think 4 is more for tablets and 2 for phones.

FWIW I reckon tapatalk is a better way to use the forum than the web

I did consider and notice currently that while the once off $99 (USD) is ok, the ongoing $29 monthly fee becomes an ongoing cost.ozdavo wrote:Christopher, any thought on doing a custom Tapatalk app for BNA? Currently I see between 70 and 120 unique visitors daily via tapatalk (80% iPhone) and it mentions that 900 members have used the forums via tapatalk.
If it looked like it could carry itself, that would be an option. It is probably reliant on the advertising and whether this is an avenue that advertisers are interested in.

Does it discriminate between actual browsing/viewing the forums and the Tapatalk app just scanning for post updates?
