10 Points for Lane Cove, Willoughby & North Sydney Councils

Postby Snowie1 » Wed Sep 04, 2013 9:53 am

This morning I cam across a free coffee.........and some representative form Lane Cove, Willoughby and North Sydney Councils on the bike path at Naremburn.

They were there to promote THE PATH IS THERE TO SHARE. Basically a friendly get together with free coffee and a bike mechanic. They were chatting to the cyclists and pedestrians that were passing by, listening to the comments from people about the paths and experiences.

It is great to see that they are getting at the coal face, the reps themselves all seemed to be riders too. They plan to be at different sites (1st Wednesday of the month is what one of them said) to promote the paths and get the word out there.

I think they will be at Longueville/Epping road area next 1st Wednesday.

Anyway, just thought I'd share that they were there and say how good it is to see action.

Great I might just be paying my rates a bit more happily now that they do seem to be getting behind the growing bike use in our area and for once working together well on a common project.

"Snowy on the tram" was/is a term used to describe the source of some information. "Snowy on the tram said horse 4 will place in the 5th race today" and the like.
