I have been looking for a frame to be stripped for almost 4 weeks now. This is just the victim, and besides, I am not so happy on the paint colour. You are spot on, the painting is still 90-95% good!singlespeedscott wrote:Why did you strip the paint? The was nothing wrong with it.
Tange 900 is a reasonable tube set. Forged tips. It looks like a solid frame. Not top end bit certainly not rubbish. I would if left the paint and dressed it in the parts that I wanted.

Yes, blue. Dropout idea will be gone as it looks overdone imo.ldrcycles wrote: What colour are you thinking for the panels/headtube, blue?

Haha yeah, that colour that everyone's Nan seemed to paint her lounge room...singlespeedscott wrote:I hope the orange is more orange than in the piccies. The photos make it look like that horrible coral colour from the 80's that's made a come back in the clothing stores of late.

Hard to describe how orange it is. My children liked the colour just to give you an idea.singlespeedscott wrote:I hope the orange is more orange than in the piccies. The photos make it look like that horrible coral colour from the 80's that's made a come back in the clothing stores of late.

On the other hand, you make me feel bad for the amount of progress you're making on them.
Hit me up via the BNA dm; I'll get an alert. If y'know, you know.

, I have been painting this frame for 3 months now. I am a crap painter which make it a bit longer to finish. We are getting there and I think we if we focus on quality, we will save a bit of money too as one built can probably be stretched to a year or 2, lol!HappyHumber wrote:You make me feel better about the number of projects I have on the back burner, rheicel.

Over tightening broke the plastic on the Right DT. Hope it will not affect its function.
1. I will be removing the brake levers and replace them with RX100 levers.
2. Run Brake and shifter cable.
3. Install FD (RX100)
4. Install Chain
5. Install MTB style SPD pedal.
Not sure why I am missing...
-stem spacer
-brake/caliper cable adjuster
Will it look better with fenders?
