Tool pouch?
Postby JessicaAlba » Tue Sep 10, 2013 8:05 pm
Coming into summer, I am probably going to want that bidon cage back...well, for an extra bidon. I want to stay away from the saddle bag, if possible. A recently-visiting friend from across the ditch had a SRAM pouch, which housed a spare, CO2/adaptor and a couple of tools. Not huge in size and perfect to fit in a jersey pocket. Just the ticket.
I have since searched high and low, but so far cannot find anything like it. Anyone know where I might find something similar??

I tried it but I found that I didn't like only having one tube and only one CO2

Was it a red draw-string bag?JessicaAlba wrote:So I have moved away from the traditional under saddle tool bag and onto a tool tube, taking up residence in one of my bidon cages.

Erm...maybe.... If I can manage to squeeze a tube, couple of CO2 canisters, tyre levers and Alan keys into the space some Big Red once stuffed his crown jewels, then yes, I guess that could be ideal.mitzikatzi wrote:One of these maybe?

Wouldn't need the cage though and I might even get hold of a CO2 "cross", for more room in the tool pouch.
Good stuff!

Yes, in the Related Accessories section at the bottom right of the page you can buy any of the items separately.JessicaAlba wrote:Can you buy cage and bag separately??

Obviously could not see the forest for the trees, could I.
I like that Essentials Case too. Looks to be just the right size for a jersey pocket. And I am sorry, but I first read the other one as "Dumspac", lol.
Looks like it's going to be more about researching than searching for the next few days...thanks guys for all the input, there are some great options here.
EDIT: I see there is a Team Sky version of the Rapha case...looks very cool http://www.rapha.cc/team-sky-essentials-case" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

BTW, you're off your tits high as a kite if spending 70 bucks for something many people use a ziplock bag for seems like a good idea. Cheaper to pay your friends to carry your tools for you... I'm SURE that a 70 dollar doodad like that is a violation of The Rules.

Happy BirthdayJessicaAlba wrote:Plus, its my birthday soon and I wish to treat myself
Make your own bag http://www.momtastic.com/diy/113362-diy ... dwich-bag/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; customise a bit with a cloth ribbon to keep it rolled up and compact and spend the extra on a nice big steak, helps you ride faster after digestion
I know it says sandwich bag but essentially the same , and if you have an old wetsuit you could even make a neoprene version
