Our club needs a new jersey - please help design it!
Postby RyanEdwards » Sun Sep 01, 2013 8:27 pm
Loddon Murray Cycling was formed in December 2012 and has members from Kerang, Cohuna, Koondrook, Boort, Pyramid Hill, Barham and Quambatook, in northern Victoria. We need a cycling jersey to wear at the many events that our members participate in, and we need your help. We want you to design it for us - you choose the design and colours. Simply put your design onto the template below (or on our Facebook page or webpage) and either upload it to our Facebook page, email it to me or drop it into Kerang Sports & Toys by Saturday, 14th September to be in contention for one of three prizes. First prize is the new Loddon Murray Cycling jersey...that you designed!! Check out the following pages for more information:

I hope you can help!

Not sure about how to do an electric colouring in competition. However I would be working with the existing colours and go for visibility without being too garish.
White torso (with the logo in black and red as per the website).
Red sleeves.
Black sides. (for the 'slimming' effect)
Black collar
Red pockets.
This would mean that the most visible parts of the jersey are either red or white.
Cheers,
Cameron

Yes that is what I had in mind. I did assume that the logo colours were more or less fixed.
Similarly the other combination that might work would pay a bit of homage to the National Champion Jersey.
Basically swap a darkish green for the black panels, and a bright yellow for the red.
Cheers,
Cameron

Sure why not.RyanEdwards wrote:Sounds good Cameron. I'll put together your new suggestion to see what it looks like. Would you like me to submit your ideas into the competition?
I reckon Dave might be on to something with the Shire logo colours though.

Just out of curiosity, what does the new jersey look like?RyanEdwards wrote:Thanks to everyone who submitted an entry for our jersey design competition. We had almost 30 entries and our committee has now selected 4 finalists which will be presented to our members who will get the opportunity to vote on their preferred jersey. I'll post the winning entry on here within the next two weeks.

I'm assuming the real version will look something like the one in this link:
