what frame to build up?

toying with the idea of building up new road bike as a learning experience as I want to expand my abilities as a bike mechanic (and enjoy tinkering with my current bike). does anyone have suggestions regarding a reasonable (preferably carbon) frame that could form the basis of this build project? I was thinking maybe a chinese one if nothing else catches my fancy, thoughts on this?

increase bandwith to watch and rewatch youtube videos on how 2....
