Haven't been able to ride in the mountains over the last few weeks as we've had rain on and off. Currently (as in tonight) waiting for a typhoon to pass though.
Anyway I had a few hours on Friday as the rain temporarily stopped and decided to change my bars to compact and the bartape to black.
I'm hanging to get out there and give it a fair bashing.

Dish looks plenty deep enough to me in that end-on shot.
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

Haha but there's no arguing that a set of 50-60mm rims would look a treat on that bike.

I used to ride on the old spinergy carbon wheels which were maybe 5cm deep but I only ride mountains which are quite windy on descents. I had these wheels built up after I had a huge accident on a descent when strong cross winds caught the front wheel and pushed me into the gravel on the road's shoulder. As much as I love the look of deep rims, I've been scared off them.

my understanding is you still should be able to shift big-big. it's not recommended, but when doing so, the RD shouldn't be about to pull itself off the bike (as above)

Chain length for Campagnolo is measured small to small. If you have the correct rear derailleur for your cassette size the chain length will be correct.

There is only one derailleur length for (non triple) 11s Campagnolo. Campagnolo have a specification of 8-15mm between the bottom of the chain under the upper pulley and the top of the chain before it enters the lower pulley. However, given the massive difference in chainstay lengths available it translates (in practical application) to the absolute longest chain you can run in small-small.

The chain pictured is far too short and will result in rather ordinary shifting, especially in the largest rear cogs.

11s Campagnolo can be very difficult for some people to comprehend but with enough study of the technical documents they can achieve a state of sufficient knowledge to post on the subject.

With a little reading I'm sure you can get there.

meh

I was thinking 10 speed because that's what I got.

If you want a challenge on Campagnolo knowledge bring it on.
