Single speed conversion for campy freehub

Postby Jangari » Mon Sep 16, 2013 8:43 am

I'm converting a fairly recent frame to a single speed, and the wheels I intend to use have a campagnolo freehub body. All the single speed conversion kits appear to be for shimano splined freehubs. Even the Gusset one advertised as Campy compatible (e.g. here) looks to have Shimano splines. Am I missing something here? Surely the major difference in spline pattern means that one of the readily available and cheap conversion kits won't work.

There are Campy SS conversion kits.

Regarding the one you posted, I would suggest querying the picture with the seller. It most likely is just a stock image.

They are readily available on Wiggle etc. as well.

5/64" will work with 11 speed setups. The photo looks like Campag splines to me.

Agreed. I was going to narkily reply and defend my cred as a fixed gear cyclist, also pointing out that this forum is for fixed gear AND/OR single speed, but I couldn't be bothered. Can't see what's wrong with having several bikes for different purposes, personally. They can't all be fixed.
