Went to take my chainrings off and realized that the back screw requires a star allen key, am I right in thinking these are called torx Allen keys?

Most chainring bolts that are torx require a T30.

It's a hexalobular internal head. More commonly referred to as torx.

Half right. Allen keys are hexagonal, Torx keys are star-shaped (or hexalobular if you prefer). The two names do not combine.trailgumby wrote:Yes, you are right.RRalphy wrote:Went to take my chainrings off and realized that the back screw requires a star allen key, am I right in thinking these are called torx Allen keys?
