There's only two types of cyclist,
Those that have crashed and those that are going too.
You are number two.

Cooney Rd Artarmon? I think I recognise it as my brother-in-law's ex's abandoned trike. Small world . Good to see it being used.Joe H wrote:Oops, I posted this previously in the wrong thread. My wife brought this home from Willoughby.

Tricycles are cool, I got one from the tip for my wife, sadly not in anywhere near as good a shape as yours.Joe H wrote:Oops, I posted this previously in the wrong thread. My wife brought this home from Willoughby. Not sure if it's retro but judging from all the rust I guess it's pretty old. New models are for sale on-line with grip/twist shifters; this has a thumb-shifter. Indi-Australia Rambler. I got it running and converted the basket to a rumble seat for the kids. We had a blast riding around the local park.

She actually used her hybrid today for half an hour on the stationary trainer , there might be hope of getting her into cycling yet.

Unfortunately I think the owner is too attached to this one to part with it.

I've been looking for a good little project for a couple of weeks. Had some false starts, but I've got a good feeling about this one. The headtube tells me it's made by Asahi Enterprises Corp, from Ishiwata EX triple butted Cr Mo tubes.
The most interesting sticker on the bike is a Bikefile registration sticker, which tells you it's an offence to remove the sticker and a number to call if you find the bike.

It says:
Phone
008 C72 201
(071 433 112)
I have a feeling those numbers were disconnected some time in the late 80s... I'm guessing it was a Qld number, back when the local line numbers were seven digits instead of eight.
