Yeah I am 60 years old and riding for pleasure. Do not need intervention
from bloody magpies into my recreational activities if it can be easily avoided.

Maybe you guys need to ride faster  (but not over the recommended shared path speed limit of 30kms. I don't want to encourage reckless behaviour) :P

The magpie had me around 7 this morning. I'd gone past the battery hen farm and thought i'd missed it but then down it came. It only seemed to be interested in my helmet though rather than trying to take a piece out of my ears or neck so apart from an annoyance it was no harm. My helmet is silvery white and i wondered if the colour was an attraction but on the way back a lady warned me of the magpie as she must have been swooped upon and she was wearing a black helmet so colour doesn't seem to be a factor.

The usual suspect was out on the 17th Ave approach to the M7 this morning at Hoxton Park. On the way home, surprisingly a growl seemed to put him off his attack?!!

The problem is the birds success, every rider it attacks rides off into the distance away from its nest. The bird has successfully protected its nest from the lycra clad predators

Hi All

Just a heads up that there is a small walk-a-thon on the shared path this Saturday (28 September) from Middle Grange to Elizabeth Drive. From around 9am. Please look out for them! :)

Not strictly M7 related - but it is near the end of it.

The pedestrian lights for the crossing on Camden Valley Way near the service station don't seem to be working. I waited for about 5 minutes before eventually walking down the side street and crossing further down.
