Holder must have bumped my rear brake, so had rubbing from the start line. Initially thought I had pulled the wheel so I stopped 400m up the road, reset the skewer, then saw it was the brake rubbing so opened them up and continued on. Would have just been a PB as my bike computer only recorded moving time - but race clock logged me riding a 16:19. I estimate I lost around 25 seconds...

Had a three week climbing holiday in the USA including at altitude with a week taper before this race, so felt I had a faster time in me... PB of 15:59 was in the Great Tour of Doherty stage race from way back in 2008!
