EDIT - maybe make it a ride to Dubrat's garage sale at Greenslopes, with a ride up Mt Gravatt for good measure !

Retro man wrote:So whats happening, these rides dying a slow death! you have to keep them going.
We are still riding but - only occasionally the Riverloop.
Meet-up location depends where we are riding.
For example, 3 of us did a ride from Mitchelton to Nudgee Beach a week ago, this morning we did 50km around the Redcliffe peninsula.
Next week, no idea what will happen, depends a bit on the weather etc.
Let me know if you are up in brissie and we can meet for a ride.

Well to put it in club race lingo, yes one of our clan could ride C-grade, but there would be 4 of us in D-grade and one riding E-grade (E for electric assist).

Big_Red wrote:Foo, usually an extended riverloop is done in an average of about 25kph over the 38km. We are not adverse to going a little slower if needed though. That said, regularly doing the rides is a great way of ramping up your fitness. A couple of times in 2013 I actually left the car at home for the missus to use and did some 60, 70, 90, 100+km rides still averaging 25 kph over the ride and i'm not super fit (still need to lose 15 kg). When I jump back on the bike in Feb, i'll be looking to do 5000 km for 2014 - that said we're not looking to race, it's just a couple of blokes looking to get out on the bikes for a nice ride and some good coffee) / brekky after.
Well I can only get a ride in of a Saturday and Sunday and that is providing I don't have to much running around to catch up with. (away all week in a truck) Last yeah I did 1600klms so that will give you some idea of how slow I am.

Oh I can average 25/27klmh on the flat over 30-40ks if that is any help.
