Hey guys,
Just got my street fixie up and going and I've been using trusty old dunlop volleys with them but I'm after some better shoes. I'm not interested in cleats, I want something I can walk around in.
I saw these and thought about running them with no cleat but wondered if anyone had any suggestions.
Cheers.
Ben

A conundrum I'm facing at the moment...
They look OK but I s'pose any shoe with a fairly grippy and stiff sole would do the job, seems to be a few about...

...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

I used to ride with vans, their soles are really good for gripping the pedal and they're relatively stiff which makes riding more comfortable.
I use a pair of Chrome shoes now since I kept destroying my Vans with the metal cages.

+1 for Chrome shoes. However now that Fyxo have stopped stocking them, you can no longer get them in Aus, and Chrome charge US$75 for international delivery (to here at least).
I have been thinking about the possibility of finding stiff inner soles to put in any shoe and stiffen them up. Wonder how feasible that would be.

Using futsal boots at the moment which I found heaps better than the volleys.
