I was going to leave this here and moan about how it must be Brisbane's week for nice bicycles, but as much as I wanted to let the locals have a chance I knew I couldn't let it go...
Bitter sweet however as I have breached my bicycle limit, (and I can predict which one won't be getting ridden once it arrives. )
The heart wants what it wants, but the garage can only hold what the garage can hold...

Damn near identical frame to mine. Might be a size smaller than my 60cm though. Would be curious if anyone on here did nab it. PM me to swap some frame details if you like. Mine is running a mixture of Dura-Ace generations, with Chorus brakes as my prime Audax bike at the moment. Done a coupla 400km rides on it this year. The guy knows some jargon and has a work stand. So he's not clueless.
And yet, he's selling a classic frame at a price that could only be explained by cluelessness.
What's with that?

Grab it and run!
Now, which Gios is this? Where does the Gios tubing stand in erms of quality compared with other steels?

From this angle it looks pretty damn big. I've got my money on it being 60cm.HappyHumber wrote:Damn near identical frame to mine. Might be a size smaller than my 60cm though. Would be curious if anyone on here did nab it.LugNut wrote:Drop dead gorgeous Miyata SevenTen

That's going to need some major refurbishment. It looks like it's got a few dings in it.LugNut wrote: Mercian

I didn't spot dings, but zooming in on the BB in the photo of the drive side crank is enough to make my stomach turn. Full re chrome, re respray, and you might be lucky to save the stem and cranks from the components on it currently.singlespeedscott wrote:That's going to need some major refurbishment. Still, no question whether it's worth it!

PIcked this up today, not really sure what my plans are with it, I just couldn't say no!scratchman wrote:sold for $100LG wrote:This looks like a very good buy for somebody in Adelaide into pre-WWII bikes http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VINTAGE-BICY ... 2a328b97ac" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Although frame has been sprayed it actually looks very neat and tidy in matt black and suits the vintage.
Has 28" rims, Perry of England rear hub, front hub is a Williams and also came with 2 brand new unfitted tyres.
Original mudguards were also included.
I have no idea what cranks or pedals are, if pics help anyone identify anything on the bike I would love to hear from you.
As it stands it will just be used for cruising the Esplanade near home.
