Hard to tell, does it occur every crank rotation or at that point of the chain?

every crank rotation that parts the loudest noise. But there's also noise coming out other points too. The part shown is the only visible reference I've noticed
earliest I remember noticing it was switching crank from standard to compact. Back then my hanger was bent so I thought it was that. Is the crank faulty? Also is the chain getting stretched abnormally like that?

Does it happen on both rings?

Sounds like it the chain is rubbing on the front derailuer.
Had this happen once and there a few pins slighlty out whack, check for bent or dodgey links too.
What other noises can you hear and from where on the bike?
If its from the rear near/jockey wheels my money will be on the chain.

Studying the large chain ring I can't really note any striking issue? I.. don't know
edit: small big i meant. So lowest gears

Is the chainring square with the frame?
It looks like the teeth is catching on the inside plate of the chain, are there any missing spacers to push the crank out further?

The compact 4600 didn't come with any spacers. No spacers came off the standard 4600 either.

also if you didnt remove the bottom bracket then squareness is probably not the issue. I think the main place for it to be out of square is at the bottom bracket/frame interface.
Thinking along those lines, if you put the old crankset back on, does it line up to the same spot on the front derailleur as the compact crankset?
Thats all i got

I'll test the old standard crank to see when I remove the chain next for a degrease. Unless I should ASAP because of risk of stretching the chain like this?
Thanks for trying to think of the solution.
